#1 Florida vs. #2 Alabama

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Next week is going to be a monster week in college football. We’ve got conference championships on the line all day long. And no game is bigger than the SEC Title game. With the top two teams in the country squaring off for a chance to play in the National Championship, this game could’t get any bigger. Will Tebow be able to move the ball against the Tide’s physical defense? Will Ingram be able to punish the Gators defenders? This game has it all…

Mangino Has to Go

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

If you haven’t heard, Kansas Coach Mark Mangino is under investigation by the University Athletic Department. Allegedly many current and former players, as well as parents, are fed up with his attitude and behavior towards his team. If it comes out that Mangino was physically assaulting his players, then goodbye. Bobby Knight got canned and he had 3 National Championships. But after having a closed door meeting with the players without the coach, Kansas Athletic Director Lew Perkins has all but assured Mangino’s departure. No head coach can do his job effectively after being publicly questioned in front of the team like that. Now its only a matter of time before the big man gets the ax.

3 Tennessee Players Arrested

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

After mocking Urban Meyers dedication to discipline ,looks like Lane Kiffin will have the opportunity to put his money where his mouth his. Three UT football players have been arrested after holding up customers in a gas station parking lot. The players used a pellet gun and drove off after the customers proved they had no money. They were arrested soon after.

With star freshmen safety Janzen Jackson one of the players arrested, it looks like Tennessee is about to lose a big part of their secondary and a player that was to be a foundation for years to come. It’s just amazing how stupid some people can be.

Where will LJ End Up?

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

With the release of Larry Johnson, people are wondering where will the team cancer end up. Some are saying Dan Snyder and the Redskins will take a chance on Johnson. That’s exactly what the Redskins need the least. Another me-first drama case in their locker room. Of course, the Chiefs are hoping that someone will be desperate enough to claim in on waivers. If that happens they will be let off the hook for the remaining 2 million Johnson is owed this season.

Brandon Spikes Suspended

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

We know there are a lot of Florida Haters out there. The success they have had recently will do that. But let’s not go overboard on what should be done to Spikes. This type of stuff happens in every game, in every pile up, to every player. Spikes main problem was just getting caught. The one half suspension was totally in line with what he got caught doing.

Texas in a Good Spot

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

It really doesn’t matter if Texas is ranked 2 or 3 in the BSC rankings. With Florida and Alabama set to collide in the SEC championship game, one of them will get knocked out of national championship consideration. And Texas, after having soundly defeating Mizzou and Oklahoma State, is past the difficult part of its schedule. All the Longhorns must do is win out, and they will have guaranteed themselves a place in the Championship game.
