As if Larry Johnson’s inability to make plays was bad enough, he now seems to be self-destructing before our very eyes. It appears to be a matter of when, not if, Charles becomes the No. 1 option running the football in Kansas City. Larry Johnson is a clown. The sooner the Chiefs are rid of this cancer, the better.

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009After only scoring two touchdowns so far in the preseason, the Chiefs have fired offensive coordinator Chan Gailey. Head Coach Todd Haley will assume all playcalling duties. Sure the offense was horrible, but is firing your OC two weeks before the season the right thing to do? Certainly smells of desperation to us. But our sources tell us that this was inevitable from the beginning. Haley was never going to sit on the side and let the offense struggle. That’s not in his character make-up. Look for a slow start, however, for the Chiefs offense despite the change.
