With Freshman quarterback Matt Barkley out, USC suffered a shocking loss to Washington this weekend. With Tate Forcier guiding his offense, Rich Rodriguez has got the Michigan Wolverines back into the top 25. It’s amazing to think that these two are only freshmen. When you also consider what players like Terrell Pryor, Robert Griffin and Sam Bradford were able to do recently in their first years, it’s obvious a quantum shift is happening in college football. What’s great for college football fans is the fact that these phenoms can come in right away and lead these programs. This means that we will get to watch them perform on the field for the next four years at least.

Barkley About to Get a Taste

A very strong USC ground game will help, but Barkley will be the key.
